Mark Richardson

Technical Officer (Electronics)

Mark works for the AAD as science support and principally for the Glaciology (Ice Ocean Atmosphere and Climate) program.

On SIPEX he is mostly involved with looking after the drifting Ice Buoys and the Em31/altimeter instrument for measuring sea ice thickness while the ship is underway (The “Worbot”) but lends a hand to help out with other projects as required.

He is also using this voyage to improve his Chess skills and finish a really big novel.
